Personally, I use the regular variant because it's cheaper (ya I'm a cheapo ^.^) But in all honesty, it's a solid gun in the right hands, I've taken many heavies with the regular CR before they can fire at me with there HMG

Thanjac is correct, if you want mobility, minmatar is your best option, as for weapons, combat rifle and mass drivers are the minmatar weaponry (just to save you some confusion :) ) Hope this helps :) Ps. Thanjac is our resident minmatar command...
